Champs 2019
Now that NADAC Champs 2019 is all said and done here’s a recap of our Fundog team’s week.
It all started Wednesday with outstanding accomplishments by the teams of Tally Shier and 12 year old Emma, and Sara Montague and 5 year old Pixel. Tally and Emma earned their NATCH 2 and V-NATCH 2 on one Chances Run. Sara and Pixel earned their NATCH 3 on the Chances run as well. This NATCH 3 put Sara and Pixel in the NADAC Hall of Fame!!!!!
Thursday through Saturday they ran 2 rounds each day. Tally and Emma, Selina and Sizzle got placements in all 6 rounds with a number of them being clean. Sara and Pixels group was huge so placements there were tough but they ran clean in all 6 rounds. Clean shows your teamwork, your perfect connection with your dog. You and your dog happily give each other 100 percent, that’s teamwork………that’s agility. And all three of these teams got their bonuses on their runs for the extra points. The mental stamina needed for this type of event is intense and can wipe you out, luckily they were finished each day at a decent hour to get a good night’s rest and get ready for the next day.
This morning was the Challenger round and the Finals. Tally and Emma opted to do the Challenger round instead of the finals. Sara and Selina ran in the finals. Sara and Pixel were 4th and Selina and Sizzle were 5th. I and your fellow Fundoggers are so very proud of you all! When all is said and done, whether you placed 1st or last, you and your dogs were perfect. Your skills, your teamwork, your fairness and patience in your training, your relationships and connections on and off the field, the love for your pups and their love for you, …..You were perfect.
